Trip Tracer
TripTracer software is an application which has been developed with PTV Germany to connect to computer-assisted interviewing programs in order to capture and digitize routes done by persons either by auto, walk, bike, transit, or other non-motorized travel modes. TripTracer uses a simple relational data model for trips, waypoints, and the polygon points so the interviewer-respondent exchange is completely without interruption. To digitize a route, interviewers must capture the correct sequence of waypoints; each time a change in the waypoint list is made, the complete route is re-calculated and displayed for the interviewer and/ or respondent by TripTracer as an accuracy check.
